Service Description

GuaSha is a Traditional Chinese medical treatment in which practitioner using a tool (a flat stone) to apply pressure and scrape the skin to relieve pain and tension. Gua Sha does however cause temporary bruising which fades in 2-4 days. In TCM theory, the intensity and severity of the bruising is an indication of the severity of the toxicity, stagnation or fever inside the body. The most common areas for treatment are the back, neck, shoulders, buttocks, limbs. There are also types of facial Gua Sha that are used in conjunction with cosmetic acupuncture treatments to help increase circulation, elasticity and firmness of the skin.
