Since fall begins and the weather becomes colder, according to Traditional Chinese Medicine and Nutrition, it's a good idea to eat less cooling food, like salads and raw or uncooked food, for increasing your immunity. To support the digestive system, eating soups and stew would be great, as their longer cooking time is warming and easier to digest. And when the digestive system is strong – all food and vitamins would be absorbed better; thus, your immunity is increasing, and you stay healthy.
One of my favourite fall recipes is pumpkin and millet porridge, which need just two main ingredients. To make it more warming and tastier, I add some spices like cinnamon, nutmeg, a pinch of salt and vanilla stick.
If your diet, exercise, and emotions are balanced – disease can't overcome a healthy body. Eat warmer food, do breathing exercises, "let go" things and connections you don't feel happy about anymore and live other stuff to your acupuncturist.
Come for the prevention of diseases and increasing immunity this fall with acupuncture. I will help you boost the immune system with different modalities like acupuncture, moxibustion, cupping and tuina massage.
